The MMA and ABATE PAC sent 6 Members to Perry's "Jokes with Jeff" Fundraiser at the Comedy Lounge at the Radisson, Hyannis, MA.
Kevin
Griffin (MMA, Chairman) and Elaine Griffin, Rick Strawn (MMA,
Barnstable County Representative) and Janice, and Rick Gleason (MMA,
Life Member & ABATE PAC, Treasurer) and Christine Weaver (MMA,
Member) were in attendance. We picked a table in the 2nd row in the back that
afforded an excellent view of the festivities.
Just before the show started, we were able to chat a bit with Representative Perry. I'm happy to report that he is an ardent support for Freedom of Choice, commenting on the recent passage in the House on the "Cell Phone Bill" and how "piece by piece", we are losing certain freedoms. He indicated that he voted "No" to this initiative now headed for the Senate.

When
asked by Rick Strawn to attend the MMA's upcoming "Insurance Reform"
meeting scheduled for March 30 at the VFW in Hyannis, he said "it's
on his calendar." We look forward to seeing him there.
After
the show, we chatted a little bit with Jeff and asked him to ride
with us in the upcoming Storm the State House this May 15. He
tentatively said yes, schedule permitting.
Elected
as a State Representative in 2002, Jeff is a rider and supports the
majority of the MMA's Legislative Agenda.
Rick Gleason presented an ABATE PAC of MA $150 check donation to
Rep Perry to assist with his Election Campaign.
